Mid-Century for Today

The kitchen and bathrooms in this one level, mid-century modern house lacked the openness and material richness of the rest of the house. We removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room, thereby opening the kitchen to the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and to the view beyond. The design built on the punch of the pink SMEG refrigerator the and added stainless steel, concrete, glass, and walnut for a rich environment that is both modern and contemporary.
