This warehouse conversion involved transforming a 7,500 square foot nut and bolt factory into four commercial spaces and one live/work loft. Slant developed the project, acting as designers, general contractors and finish fabricators. Respect for the material beauty of the existing building and a tight budget dictated a minimal intervention characterized by custom-made hot-rolled steel details and inexpensive translucent fiberglass walls and clerestories.
